LAST LOVE
It was the night before the war
We had a family dinner
Hugs, kisses fun, laughter and toast to a beautiful life ahead
We slept like kings but awoke to become slaves
The skies have darkened
Mother Earth is trembling
Gunshots and rebels everywhere
Mother where are thou, Father you promised to be my guide
Sister and Brother fled
I am my own man
This war wont tame me
Out of the rubbles Ill emerge
Unbent unbowed and Unbroken
With sword and its sheath
Ready to conquer the storm of this cruel world
And the Sun shall shine again
But then ...I still miss the warmth of home
For our brothers, sisters, sons and husband who have been victims of strife, war and holocaust....

ODE TO THE CLARION CALL
One year, 365 days so fast
Donning the uniform one last time
One year of bliss, joy, sad times and down moments
The clarion call we obeyed
Nuclear ties we deferrred
Far and wide , we travelled
Beautiful people , Different people
Good, Kind, arrogant and peaceful
The tides of fate brought us together
Beautiful moments we would forever cherish
So many to be forgotten
Multitude6 bowed to the clutchy hands of death but here we are standing through it all
Stepping out with Grace, Faith and Hope
Our destination is different, but our path crossed
The journey continues, the hustle never stops.
We are not sure of where we would be tomorrow definitely we know WHO HOLDS Tomorrow
We doff our cap one last time
Let history count us among those who served this nation with pride
To the waiting arms of family we fly into.

RAMADAN SERIES
Its shade is leaving us gradually
Like a soldier going to war
Hoping to be back stronger
Yet not sure of Home coming
You have Prayed the Nights and
fasted the days
You have persevered , cried and asked
You have given to the poor and spent in course
Of your Lord
The waiting period is the longest before dawn
Now sit and watch your life change in the
days to come
For THE ONE behind the wheel is never flawed

LONE TALE
I am that child
I am that girl
That daughter
Your Friend and your Foe
Your muse and Your bane
Your Shield and your sheath
Your Happiness and Sad times
Your apex and your bottom
Your peace and uproar
I yearn for friends, I got them
I wanted love, I was showered
But that Solitude never left
That Feeling of the Unknown
I seek the face of my Rabb
To fill my heart with His love
To guide and strengthen me
To conquer the wars of this world
And till I leave this World
I would always be alone yet in the midst of many........

ODE TO OUR AGED
Ode to the aged
Who have seen many moons and nights
Sweet innocence of old age
They talk less and sigh heaviliy
Wrinkles replaced lines of laughter
They once danced , now they hardly move
They do not belong to our juvenile world
where we hugged vices like our second skin
They once laughed now they hardly smile
Counting their days on planet Earth
We complain Of Grandma spilling the Milk
Yelling at Grandpa for not eating
We never know our loss until the Most high takes them from us
We replaced the time we didnt spend with them with a talk of the town burial
What use is the money to them
Woe is a life not spent with loved ones.
My dear dance to the music while its playing.
The music will stop, You will die
Your Tombstone will be stepped on...
Live while you can
May we all age gracefully...

PRISONERS TALE
It was in God'd Vineyard
The fan rolled innocently on their long faces
They sat in scattered rows
Men of different race , age and frame
Looking lost with forlorn faces
I searched through their souls
All I saw were broken and dead dreams of a brighter and better future
They know not of tomorrow whose suspense we linger for
They know not of the sweet sound of home, fun and laughter
The jolly memories of yesteryears is now a mystery
Is it the happiness they forget
Or the misery they choose to clinge to.
Were their destinies cursed
Could this be fate...
When they would be free from this strong walls of captivity
Only THE MOST HIGH KNOWS!
TALES BY TORCHLIGHT
We have slyed the moon and Gone to bed....
We used to walk the nights with the moon....
Time happened.......And we went to sleep without those tales of the ancient...

VALZ PAPPARAZZI
In few hours time ,the world would be agog about valentine.
VAL. VAL. VAL
But Hey u share roses, flowers, chocolate and the likes.
Basking in the euphoria of the red and white feeling.
How many hungry kids have you fed.
That thirsty child have you given him/her water.
How many kids whom have been deprived of their rights have you
stood up for.
Have you relieved that Old Man/woman of their bags.
How many peels of banana have you removed from the streets.
When you have done some or even more than these.
Then thats true love my dear
Are we not hunted by the cries of the children in captive.
Are we not tamed by the wailing molested teenagers.
Dont our hearts cry out for the victims of terrorist attacks.
Lets stop celebrating this festival of immorality.
Wallowing in jeopardy and self destruction.
Love should be a daily ritual.
Wake up, live ,smile and be a RAINBOW to someone's life.
Many things would catch your eye but some would catch your heart, follow those.
Lets open our eyes and stop closing it to d ILLS of our society.
Love is UNCONDITIONAL ,its not SEASONAL.
Its not a February affair,
Its lifelong!!!

WHY I WRITE
I write for the being in ME
I write for the scars in ME
I write for the sanity of my existence
Just like embers to flame
I write to rekindle my soul
When words fails , my pen bails My Ink travels where my leg wont reach
I write for love
Iwrite to live,
I live to write
I write to feel
I write to shed insecurities
Ill be a lotus and write even in the mud
I write for freedom!!!

HOME COMING
Hues of Gold and crimson red
Comets in the skies
Chalets and bright lights
Herald its Homecoming
Alas the Warrior arrived
He left Home for the War Front
Leaving a young wife with a son and yet another growing inside her
Her Fears Unknown, Her Hopes Bleaked
Seem like Daylight would never come
Yet held strong to the Faith she knew
The tales of her Fathers
Perserverance of her Mothers
And on that day when he appeared through the door
It was Homecoming for her Likewise it was for Him.
That boy down the road is in pains
Yet he found solace in his silence
Tormented by the thorns of this world
The day he gave freedom to his speech
It was homecoming for Him
And as we toil in this dunya
Sun up to sunset, seeking the face of our Lord
Yearning for his Love and mercies
Hoping he would mend our broken hearts and lit our path
Seeking like a wayfarer till we breathe our last
And then in Jannah when we meet it would be homecoming for us.
IN MY HEAD
Lately I have been in low spirits getting intimidated by the day seeing youngsters reaching milestone and achieving a whole lot and I can only ask myself.. Was I born dumb or cant I be like them achieving feats and making a name for myself (harsh right) but thats the bitter truth , so many of us lose ourselves in the scope of seeing ourselves through the eyes of others, We were created differently , moulded to do different things . I know so many people must be in my shoes. The road is the same but the destination is different,I know for sure that I want to be different, I want to see smiles on peoples faces , I want to be a sucess, I want to love my family dearly, I want to play around with my kids , nurturee them with the word of God, I want to Grow everyday , radiating in joy and happiness in the Home of that lucky Man that would have me(O yes Indeed He is going to be a lucky Man), I want to help those who I can, and Finally Love God and be patient through His Trials for me( Every Man shall Indeed be tested , dont ask me the verse and Chapter .It is definitely in the Quran). All the list of wants are endless but am just gonna do one thing, Strive the best I can, be honest and diligent and I know it would come out all crispy and fine. To my fellow youngsters who are willing to make a difference, willing to make a name, We are not any lesser than the Yousafis , the Marck Zuckerberg of this World, We would extrude our inner talents , Weather the storm and we would come out shining and raising our heads up high and screaming " WE MADE IT"
Am unsure of tomorrow but definitely know WHO holds tomorrow , why then should we worry .Till my next piece , Live , Love, Laugh , Pray... and munch pringles😘😘😘😘😘

FACES GONE WITH THE ROAD
FACES GONE WITHH THE ROAD
As I sit down to write this piece, a wave of nostalgia pierced through me, that feeling of the Unknown yet feeling secured in your present state. I will be writing my final exams in few days and I could only but imagine where all this faces would be in few months to come.
Going 5 years down memory lane, we as young adults with the wave to succeed stepped into the world of our own, a World where destinies was placed in our hands to make or to mar, young ,honest, innocent,naïve, strong , smart with youthful ebullience, through the tides and storms, in sickness and in health, the sacrifices, the nights, the dawn, the twilight, sunrise to sunset, sun up to daybreak, we fought, wrestled to carve a niche and place our name in the book of life. Along the line ,some died, some bowed to the clutchy hands of failure, some denied their inner strength while some gone with the wind but here we arestanding through it all.
Fast forward to this moment, lost in my own world, delusions, nostalgia, paranoia is all I could feel. Our lives have entagled for 5 years, strangers we were but now swimming in the tide that fate brought us. As our oddysyey at this juncture ends, the world out there awaits us,the world where guys would fight to be men and ladies would declined to be tamed, the real world, the battle field, the podium, the centre stage it is.
Taking a cue from my late friend ( I know him ooo) Paul Walker, he had the heart of Gold that am sure, he said “You know all that really matters is the people you love are happy, everything else is just a sprinkle on a sun day, So many friends classmtes have passed this road with us, but as journey continues, what will become of the friendship built, the secret shared, the night under the stars, the moments.. The very bare truth is that some faces would not live to carve a niche in our hearts, some would be gone with the road, lost to wind , while the very few would have spaces reserved in the depth of our soul with chandeliers beaming over them, The pearls amongst us would walk this journey with us either physically or subconsciously and those other faces gone with the wind would disappear just like a pin in the ocean, water in the desert, shea butter in the sun, the tiniest memory of them would be erased .
Till the day we die, Some faces would never be seen, friendship turn sour, no love lost,no love found, Paul walker tribute song (don’t blame, Allah made him awesome) goes thus “We only hope the light would guide our way and hold every memory as we go and every road we take would lead us home.
Mentally on a final note,my question for you,Who have you been in the past 5 years, a face that would be gone with the road or a name that would be carved in people’s heart. The future awaits us,the future is here, the future is now…… But we remain UNBENT,UNBOWED,UNBROKEN…

OUR WORLD
Welcome to our World, where planes rules the skies instead of Comets, where rockets flies instead of Birds, It is Indeed Our World where fireworks are seen more than the Glittering Stars...A world It is. Take a flash back 15yrs down memory lane, then you know the revolution train has come to stay, Our World is revolving,
I cannot Personally forget when The 50 inch T.V rules our homes, The glitter on our faces when we sit down to watch cannot but be Imagined..We are like Rulers in our own Kingdom, The black and white screeching colour is another memory to relieve.Nowadays we say what is life without Colours Boring right..Coloured Plasma T.v sets with Full H.D display have replaced the black and white t.v which could be now compared to Sitting in Those Ancient Greek Amphitheatres.. Another area of gratitude to the Founding Fathers of Technology is The FLASHDRIVE AND MEMORY CARDS..we remember when we store our information on a diskette ,which Cannot be used without A Desktop Computer which inturns needs power supply to work The name NEPA comes to your mind ..I know your response already..Lets save it for another day..Information is Now Everywhere you go .because one can have easy acess to first hand data and information anywhere anytime
Laptops, Pamtops,Tablets have replaced "Our Big Ben" called the Desktop Computer..Imagine carrying a desktop everywhere one is going...Ridiculous I must say, It is so relieving to know that the Whole of ones data, information, Investment procedures can be stored on a latop which can be conveniently carried about...Our Laptops Should be renamed...POWER HOUSE..It controls more than what we can Imagine With varied operating systems and Inbuilt Features...
On a Final note amidst other Innovations is the MICRO CHIP.. a small Bug like object that can be used to retrieve information from an object or subject without having direct contact...Power of REMOTE SENSING I must say... All these and more have changed our little society to Haven of World Changing Ideas, Fast Forward to 20years..May be Cars would run on water or even air, Cooking Cylinders without gas, Printing machine without catridges etc..I cannot wait to witness another era of technology transition..I know u cannot wait too..Once Again Welcome to our World where the Change Era is now!!!!
