ODE TO OUR AGED

Ode to the aged
Who have seen many moons and  nights
Sweet innocence of old age
They talk less and sigh heaviliy
Wrinkles replaced lines of laughter
They once danced , now they hardly move
They do not  belong to our juvenile world
where we hugged vices like our second skin
They once laughed now they hardly smile
Counting their days on planet Earth
We complain Of Grandma spilling the Milk
Yelling at Grandpa for not eating
We never know our loss until  the Most high takes them from us
We replaced the time we didnt spend with them with a talk of the town burial
What use is the money to them
Woe is a life not spent with loved ones.
My dear dance to the music while its playing.
The music will stop, You will die
Your Tombstone will be stepped on...
Live while you can
May we all age gracefully...
