HOME COMING

Hues of Gold and crimson red
Comets in the skies
Chalets and bright lights
Herald its Homecoming
Alas the Warrior arrived
He left Home for the War Front
Leaving a young wife with a son and yet another growing inside her
Her Fears Unknown, Her Hopes Bleaked
Seem like Daylight would never come
Yet held strong to the Faith she knew
The tales of her Fathers
Perserverance of  her Mothers
And on that day when he appeared through the door
It was Homecoming for her Likewise it was for Him.

That boy down the road is in pains
Yet he found solace in his silence
Tormented by the thorns of this world
The day he gave freedom to his speech
It was homecoming for Him

And as we toil in this dunya
Sun up to sunset, seeking the face of our Lord
Yearning for his Love and mercies
Hoping he would mend our broken hearts and lit our path
Seeking like a wayfarer till we breathe our last
And then  in Jannah when we meet it would be homecoming for us.
